*3D Printing is a form of Rapid Prototyping Technology in which a machine uses powder and binder to produce physical models from 3D files in a layering method. A layer of powder (a 4 thousandth of an inch) is laid down, then a print head uses the sliced up 3D data to determine where the binder should be applied. This process is repeated until the model is completed. After a curing period, the model is infiltrated with wax, or a thin variant of superglue, or epoxy, all of which provide a hardened exterior shell.
